Coco Gauff is second American player to become China Open champion

With this, Coco Gauff has taken a 3-0 lead over Carolina Muchova. This is all that was required as Coco Gauff not only emerged as the youngest player to win this title in the last 14 years but also has been identified as the second American to gain this title here after Serena Williams, 2004 and 2013.
This is the second title of Coco Gauff in the season and 8th of her career. Earlier in this season, she successfully defended the ASB Classic in Auckland. She became the first woman in the Open Era to win her first seven WTA hardcourt finals. The American player now has two WTA 1000 titles following this victory. She is the second woman after Bianca Andreescu to win the first two WTA 1000 finals.
