CM Stalin's letter to Nitin Gadkari: Was unhappy with Union Minister's reply; He wrote- the road is so bad that had to go by train
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin wrote a letter to Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday. In this, he mentioned the bad condition of the Chennai to Ranipet National Highway. The Chief Minister claimed that the condition of the road was so bad that he had to travel by train to visit some districts.
CM Stalin wrote, 'The Chennai-Bengaluru Highway connects Chennai and its ports to industrial areas like Kanchipuram, Vellore, Ranipet, Hosur and Krishnagiri. This was raised by our MP Dayanidhi Maran in Parliament. But then the Union Minister's reply was very generic and irresponsible. I am very disappointed with your answer.
Stalin further wrote- 'It is unfortunate that such an impression has been created that the state government is not cooperating with NHAI, this has been underlined in the reply of Nitin Gadkari in Parliament. I assure you that this is not true and we are trying our best to expedite all without discriminating between state and central government projects.
Stalin writes, 'Six-laning of Sriperumbudur to Walajapet segment of NH-4 was underway, but due to contract issue between the contractors and NHAI, the work has been stalled and hence the condition of the road is very bad. I would be grateful if you could instruct the authorities to look into the request of our MP.
