The High Court acquitted Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Wednesday based on the Special Operation Group's (SOG) report in the well-known Sanjivani Credit Co-operative Society case in Rajasthan. The report stated that no evidence has been discovered against Shekhawat.

The court also clarified that SOG cannot conduct further investigation against Shekhawat without the permission of the trial court. On the other hand, Shekhawat said that former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had made allegations due to love for his son, the court's decision is a slap on him.

Shekhawat said that today the Rajasthan High Court has closed that case and has also ordered not to conduct further investigation without the court's order. The court's order proves what kind of malicious effort was made to implicate me.

Sanjivani Credit Co-operative Society Limited had opened branches in many states, including 21 in Rajasthan and 26 in Gujarat, and approximately one lakh 46 thousand 993 investors had invested more than Rs 963 crore.

The society had wrongfully lent money to the investors through agents. It was revealed that a loan of Rs 1100 crore was given. Vikram Singh was the mastermind behind it. The previous Ashok Gehlot government admitted Vikram had close ties to Shekhawat, and cases were filed against him.
