The prices of Citroen Basalt coupe SUV will be announced on August 9. The company had given information by posting a teaser video on social media.
Features that are going to be added to Citroen Basalt include 16-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, seven-inch digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, multifunctional steering wheel, automatic climate control, wireless charging, six airbags, ESC, rear parking camera, TPMS, ISOFIX Child Anchorage, Hill Hold Assist.
In this car, the company is also preparing to give a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. This engine will give the SUV power of 80 bhp and torque of 115 Newton meters. Apart from this, Basalt will be given the option of a turbo engine. Due to this, the SUV will get 190 Newton meter torque with a power of 110 PS. It will also come with five and six-speed manual and automatic transmission options.
All details regarding the price of its new SUV will come out on August 9, but its probable price may start from approximately eight to ten lakh rupees ex-showroom.
Citroen Basalt will compete directly with Tata Curvv. The price of the ICE version of Curvv will be announced on September 2. Apart from this, it will also face competition from SUVs like the Maruti Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos.
