CDS questioned China's claim to have sixth-generation fighter aircraft, said 'it is currently only in the development stage'

CDS General Anil Chauhan was not convinced about China's claim of developing sixth-generation fighter jets. He said that nothing can be commented on this right now as they are in the development stage. Most countries are developing the sixth-generation program. Countries individually believe that they are not far behind. He said that the display of technologies is all part of the countries' strategy.

While attending the Aero India Seminar in Bangalore, CDS General Anil Chauhan said that it is very difficult to see such aircraft with sixth-generation capability. We have seen a few seconds of the clip of the aircraft we are talking about. It shows the external views of the aircraft. It is difficult to guess from this that this is a sixth-generation aircraft. Many countries are working on the sixth generation. Some time ago we heard about WS 10 and WS 15 engines. Which are installed on China's fifth-generation aircraft.

He said that some time ago we also heard that China is appointing former pilots of America and Britain. It wants to improve its practice and system. Therefore, they want to show that they are in the development phase. They show that they are moving forward in terms of technology and strategy. That's why we are also here. We also have a fifth-generation fighter aircraft AMCA. This is a matter of much further, but we are also here.

The CDS said that a sixth-generation fighter aircraft can work both manned and unmanned. I believe that there is no global definition of sixth-generation fighter aircraft. The sixth-generation fighter aircraft works like an air command post. It can control drones, and UAVs in two or three ways. Apart from this, it can fight the war differently.

He said that many types of technologies will be used in the sixth-generation fighter aircraft. It will have a network, data analysis which will give the pilots information in every situation, and also command and control of assets. This aircraft will be able to network itself and give information. It will use AI to make decisions during war. It will also have long-range air-to-air missiles, weapon systems, and stealth technology along with the ability to self-heal.
