CCTV cameras will be installed on National Highway with Nirbhaya Fund: Technology will be helpful in preventing accidents and theft

There is a preparation to install CCTV cameras on the entire stretch of the National Highway from the time of its construction. Nirbhaya Fund can be used for this work. The Standing Committee of the Parliament has also suggested this regard. The Parliamentary Committee has said that the Nirbhaya Fund can be used to install CCTV cameras if required.
At present, the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has not yet taken any decision on this. All the national highways which are being built or have been built in the country are being considered for the installation of CCTV cameras. Along with this, the work of installing lights on all the national highways is also going on.
According to sources, since the time of the construction of the National Highway, there is talk of installing CCTV cameras so that NHAI officials and engineers can monitor the work. It is believed that continuous monitoring will speed up the work. If needed, local MPs and MLAs will also be able to monitor the work through CCTV cameras.
The Standing Committee of the Parliament has also talked about installing lights in the entire length of all the highways and maintaining them regularly. It is believed that the installation of CCTV cameras will not only improve the traffic system on the highways but real-time monitoring of accidents can also be done.
It will also be easy to prepare a database of accidents. It will also be known at which place and for what reason the accident is happening. Not only this but due to the installation of CCTV cameras, incidents of theft and loot on the highways can also be stopped.
