CBI: Murder accused absconding for years brought back from Saudi Arabia, Red Corner Notice issued
Officials said that Kerala Police was looking for Sudheesh Ramachandran in a 2006 murder case. It is alleged that Ramachandran attacked Muraleedharan Nair out of old enmity. Nair suffered serious injuries on his head and legs in the attack and Nair died during treatment at a government hospital. He was absconding since the murder.
As part of a coordinated operation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), a murder accused who was absconding for many years was brought back from Saudi Arabia on Thursday. Interpol's Red Corner Notice was issued against the accused. Interpol issues notice at the request of a member state to detain a fugitive criminal from a foreign jurisdiction.

At the request of the police, a Red Corner Notice was issued against Ramachandran on 26 May 2021. In coordination with Interpol, CBI's Global Operation Center got information that the accused Ramachandran is in Saudi Arabia. CBI said that with the help of Interpol, NCB, and Riyadh, the Kerala Police team brought the accused from Saudi Arabia to India on 23 November 2023.
