On blaming the DMK for alleged attacks on labourers from Bihar in Tamil Nadu, state BJP chief K. A case has been registered against Annamalai. Annamalai issued a statement on Saturday saying that Bihari and other migrant labourers are safe in Tamil Nadu, but the DMK and its allies under the leadership of Chief Minister Stalin are creating an atmosphere of hatred against these labourers.
Regarding this statement, the Cyber Crime Division has accused him of inciting violence and promoting hatred between two communities. Apart from this, a case has also been registered against the person running the Twitter account of BJP Bihar.
Annamalai protested against the fake news of Bihari labourers living in Tamil Nadu being attacked. He said that I am saddened to see the fake news of attacks on migrant labourers living in Tamil Nadu being spread on social media. We the people of Tamil Nadu believe in the concept of 'One World'. We do not support separatism and hatred towards our North Indian friends.
Hitting out at the state government, he said, "DMK MPs made hateful comments on North Indians, DMK ministers called him Panipuri wala and DMK's fellow parties demanded his expulsion from the state." The situation that has happened today is the result of these comments.
He further said that the people, government and police of the state also do not support the ideology of DMK and its allied parties. Apart from Annamalai, the Tamil Nadu Police has registered a case against four more people. One of them is BJP spokesperson Prashant Umrao and two are journalists.
