Car driver hits bike rider in Surat: then dragged for 12 km, bones come out

In Surat, a car driver hit a couple riding a bike. The wife fell on the road while the husband got trapped under the car. The car driver dragged him for about 12 km. His dead body was found the next day in a mutilated condition. Due to rubbing, the bones of the young man were also visible. A video of this incident has surfaced, due to which the whole matter was revealed. However, the accused is absconding. This video was made by the young man walking behind the car at the time of the accident.
Bike rider Sagar Patil (24) and his wife Ashwini was hit by a luxury car on the outskirts of Tantithiya village in Palsana taluka of Surat district on Wednesday. Ashwini jumped and fell on the road, while nothing was known about her husband. The next day Sagar's body was found 12 km away from the accident site.
The police investigated the entire matter, but could not trace the accused as there was no CCTV or camera around. Two days after the incident, a youth came forward in this matter and showed the video to the police. Through this, the police reached the house of the accused and confirmed the car. The accused driver is absconding.
The youth who recorded the video told that he was coming to Surat from the Kosmadi village of Kamaraj. A car was moving in front of him. Something like a speed breaker came on the road. He saw that suddenly a young man got trapped under the car. He followed the car, but the car was at high speed. He made a video. The next day it was learned that a young man had met with an accident and the driver dragged him to a distance. After this contacted the police.
Sagar's wife Ashwini Patil is admitted to the hospital. He told- I had gone to my aunt's house. Last Wednesday my husband came to take me back. Both were coming to Surat by bike at around 10 pm. Then suddenly the car hit me from behind and I fell down. In a hurry, the people around also came. I looked for Sagar a lot on the road, but could not find him because it was dark.
He told that the next day his dead body was found 12 km away from the place of the incident. In the name of humanity, these people did not even think that we should take them to the hospital. The accused should be given the harshest punishment. Both had a love marriage a few years ago. Earlier there was some rift among the family regarding this, but with time both families agreed.
Police said that due to rubbing on the road, the bones of the young man's body were also visible. A part of the young man's chest also fell on the road. Many types of questions are arising regarding the incident. Even if an ordinary stick gets stuck in a moving vehicle, the driver comes to know about it. If someone is trapped under the car, how come the driver did not know?
It is believed that the driver was conscious after the accident and did not stop the car out of fear. The Kadodara police have registered a case of hit and run against the car driver and are on the lookout for the accused. Police said that to encourage the work of the young man who made the video, he will be honoured under the initiative of the Gujarat state government.
