Capsule Gill: Akshay Kumar charms viewers as the mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill
With a movie based on actual events, Akshay Kumar will make another appearance as a Sikh character on the big screen. In the movie Capsule Gill, which highlights the valiant act of the mining engineer who ultimately saved many lives during a calamity, he will play Jaswant Singh Gill. On the sets of the Tinu Suresh Desai film, an image of the actor wearing a Punjabi sardaar costume recently went viral on social media.
The actor is seen posing in the field in the aforementioned photograph, which is reported to have been taken in a Yorkshire field. The film's crew is currently filming in the United Kingdom. In fact, it's anticipated that the entire movie, which also stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead role, will be substantially filmed in the UK. The movie is based on the true account of the Raniganj Coalfields catastrophe, in which 64 miners became trapped in the coal mines in West Bengal. It was produced by Vashu Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment. In the 1989 coal mine disaster, Jaswant Singh put his own life in danger to save theirs. The movie provides an in-depth portrayal of the incident.
After Samrat Prithviraj's release last month, Akshay Kumar is now preparing for the August 11 release of Raksha Bandhan, which also features Aamir Khan and is co-starring Laal Singh Chaddha. Along with Capsule Gill, he will also be featured in the Soorarai Pottru remake and the mythological fantasy drama Ram Setu with Jacqueline Fernandez. Additionally, he is planning to recreate Mission Cinderella, Ikka, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff.
