Canara Bank stock reached 52 week high, profit increased by 43% in Q2

After the second quarter results, today the stock of Canara Bank, one of the public sector banks, touched its 52-week high. On Friday, October 27, Canara Bank shares rose by 7 percent.

The bank's stock hit its fresh 52-week high of Rs 387.80 on NSE and Rs 387.70 on BSE.

In afternoon trading, Canara Bank stock was trading at Rs 383.80, up 6.80 percent on NSE, and at Rs 383.55, up 6.59 percent on BSE. Till the time of writing the news, Sensex is trading at 63,761.78 points with an increase of 613.63 points and Nifty is trading at 19,021.70 points with an increase of 164.45 points.

On Thursday 26 October, Canara Bank announced the results for the second quarter of the current financial year. According to these results, the net profit of the bank increased by 43 percent to Rs 3,606 crore as against Rs 2,525 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

According to the financial results, the bank's interest income in Q2 increased by 19.76 percent to Rs 8,903 crore. The NPA of the bank also reduced to 4.76 percent which was 6.37 percent in the September quarter of the last financial year. After trading hours yesterday, the bank's stock closed 1.97 percent higher at Rs 360.50 on BSE.
