BSF shot down 69 Pakistani drones, know what the connection with China
BSF shot down Pakistani drones: BSF has created a record of seizing 69 Pakistani drones in the last 10 months near the international border.
Despite many efforts, Pakistan is not desisting from its activities. At the same time, the Border Security Force has also given a befitting reply. BSF has shot down 69 Pakistani drones that had entered Indian territory since January 2023. Most of these are made in China. At the same time, the drones have been shot down by BSF. Through this, narcotics were being sent to India by Pakistani smugglers. At the same time, BSF itself has given the data related to drones.
Data provided by BSF shows that most of these drones are 'Made in China'. Drones of various models with four rotors are of quadcopter design. According to the data, BSF has seized a total of 69 such drones passing through Punjab, Rajasthan, and Jammu borders on India's western border between January 1 and October 31 this year.
Of these 69 drones, 60 were seized from the Punjab border and nine from the Rajasthan border. A maximum of 19 drones were caught from the Punjab border and two from the Rajasthan border in October. However, 11 drones were seized in June. Seven drones were caught in May, six each in February, July, and September. Seized five drones in August, three each in March and April, and one in January.
The data shows that no drones were recovered from the Rajasthan border in January, March, April, and May. From January 1, 2020, to October 31 this year, BSF has seized a total of 93 drones. Of them, only one drone was seized in June 2020 and one in December 2021 from the Jammu border. BSF troops deployed along the 3323 km long India-Pakistan border made this recovery in close coordination with the state police after receiving secret information.
A BSF official said that smugglers in Pakistan send these drones to India carrying small quantities of heroin, ranging from 500 grams to 1 kilogram. By flying these drones at night, they easily cross the India-Pakistan international border.
BSF personnel immediately start search operations based on the input. Pakistani smugglers used drones to smuggle drugs, especially in the Punjab frontier of India. These unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were recovered from the Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, and Abohar districts.
Giving information, the officials said that the drones were used by smugglers in Pakistan to smuggle into India. Most of them are made in China. The reason behind this is that Chinese drones are much cheaper than other drones. In such a situation, even if the drone falls into the hands of BSF, the smugglers do not suffer much loss.
