BRS will not join any front in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, says KCR

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) will not join any front in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This was stated by BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He said that my party is not ready to go with any "front" for the Lok Sabha elections as earlier experiments like National Front and United Front had failed.
Addressing a press conference in Nagpur on Thursday, the Telangana CM said that our agenda is simple. We want to improve in all areas. We want to bring change to India. We want to bring better water, electricity, irrigation, infrastructure, and education policies. We will release our agenda. We will welcome any party that supports our agenda and wants to work with us, he added.
The CM's remarks assume significance in the backdrop of efforts by JDU supremo and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to bring non-BJP parties together to defeat the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the 2024 elections.
When media persons asked KCR about the possibility of BRS joining hands with Maha Vikas Aghadi comprising Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena (UBT) in Maharashtra, he said that they have no such plans as of now.
When asked about the Modi government deploying central investigative agencies like CBI, ED, and IT against opposition leaders, KCR said it is not at all good for democracy. Central agencies should not be used to harass opposition parties. All parties should be allowed to flourish in a democracy. The public will decide to whom to give power. Even Modi has got a chance to become prime minister because of democracy.
Asked about the demand for the formation of more states like Vidarbha in Maharashtra on the lines of Telangana state, KCR said, "I fully support the formation of more states in the country." I had to struggle for 15 years to get statehood in Telangana. Had to sit on an indefinite hunger strike and came out of the mouth of death for Telangana.
Why should the formation of states be such a complex issue? There is a need to adopt a system for the formation of new states. We made 23 districts by breaking the existing ten districts, this helped us to run the administration in a better way. For this reason, Telangana is moving on the path of rapid development.
KCR said that if the BRS is voted to power at the Centre, it will make arrangements for 33 percent reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies within a year of coming to power.
He said that India has abundant water and coal reserves but successive governments have failed to exploit them due to which the country is facing a shortage of power, drinking water, and irrigation even after 75 years of independence. A small state like Telangana is continuously providing electricity to all the regions.
He said that within nine years of the formation of Telangana, we have provided tap water to every household. The work that has been done in our state, why cannot it be done in the whole country?
