Britain's Heathrow Airport will remain closed on Friday. In fact, due to a massive fire in a power station, power will be cut off in thousands of homes in and around Heathrow Airport on Friday. 150 people have been evacuated after a fire broke out in a power station in West London. The airport issued a statement saying 'We had no choice but to close the airport on Friday to ensure the safety of passengers and employees. In such a situation, passengers should avoid coming to the airport.'

The London Fire Department said that 10 fire engines and about 70 fire brigade members controlled the fire. The fire in the power station was so fierce that the smoke coming out of it was seen from a long distance and its pictures were posted a lot on social media. Scottish and Southern Electricity Network, which supplies electricity in this area, said that more than 16,300 houses have been affected due to power cuts. The fire incident happened late Thursday night at around 11.23 pm. The cause of the fire is still not clear. The Airport Authority issued a statement saying that the airport will remain closed till 11.59 pm on March 21.

This is the reason why many people have expressed their displeasure over the closure of the airport for the whole day.

Air India has canceled all its flight services to Heathrow Airport on March 21. Air India wrote in a post shared on social media that due to the power crisis at London's Heathrow Airport, all Air India flights will be canceled till 23.59 pm on March 21. The airline has also released the numbers of its contact center, from where updates can be taken.
