Vistara flight flying from Mumbai airport to Frankfurt was diverted to Turkey on Friday due to security concerns. A bomb threat was received on the flight. According to Jagran, all 247 passengers on board the plane are safe, and local authorities are in touch with them. All passengers were deboarded from the plane and a search operation was started after landing at Erzurum airport in Turkey.

According to Jagran, a message was found written on a piece of paper that there was a bomb in the plane. That paper was found by a passenger, the passenger handed it over to a crew member and the pilot became alert. All passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft after landing.

According to a Vistara spokesperson, "Vistara flight UK27 operating from Mumbai to Frankfurt on September 6, 2024, was diverted to Turkey owing to a security concern which was noted by our crew while onboard. The aircraft landed safely at Erzurum Airport.

Due process, we immediately informed the concerned authorities and fully cooperated with the security agencies for the completion of necessary security checks. At Vistara, the safety of our customers, crew, and aircraft is of utmost importance.

The Vistara Airlines had earlier tweeted that its Mumbai-Frankfurt flight, diverted to Turkey owing to security concerns, had landed safely in the country.
