German auto giant BMW Motorrad is preparing to launch its first premium electric scooter in India. The prices of the electric scooter are going to be announced by BMW after a week.

The BMW CE 04 will become the first electric scooter from any luxury brand in India. The company will officially launch it on July 24 and pre-launch bookings have started for it. These bookings are open at select authorized BMW Motorrad dealerships.

The BMW CE 04 is expected to be the most expensive electric scooter sold in India. It is already available for sale in the global market at a price of $ 11,795. When launched in India, this electric scooter can be priced around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). Let's know about it.

The CE 04 electric scooter has a maxi-style scooter design and is longer than two meters. The bench seat and heavy front face design distinguish it as a premium product in the segment. The CE 04 has dimensions of 2285 mm in length, 855 mm in width, 1,150 mm in height, and 780 mm in seat height. This e-scooter now has 15-inch wheels.

The BMW CE 04 will be equipped with a liquid-cooled PMS electric motor capable of producing around 41 horsepower and 60 Nm of peak torque. It has an electronically limited top speed of 120 kilometers per hour.

The e-scooter can go from 0 to 50 kmph in 2.6 seconds. BMW will offer the CE 04 electric scooter with three riding modes including Eco, Rain, and Road.

According to WMTC Cycle, the BMW CE 04 will have an 8.9 kWh battery pack and will give a range of about 130 km on a single charge. The battery can be recharged from 0-100 percent in about 4 hours and 20 minutes. Also, it can be fully charged in 1 hour and 40 minutes using a DC fast charger.

The BMW CE 04 will include ABS, ASC, electronic reverse, and traction control. It will also get a Type-C charging port, a 10.25-inch TFT display with BMW Motorrad connectivity, a keyless ride, and a ventilated storage compartment.
