BJP's Panch Parmeshwar Sammelan before MCD elections
BJP's Panch Parmeshwar Sammelan before MCD elections: JP Nadda said - Kejriwal you have made Delhi miserable, now you have to go
BJP National President JP Nadda addressed 'Panch Parmeshwar Sammelan' at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on Saturday. The rally assumes significance as Delhi Municipal Corporation elections are likely to be held in December this year.
In the rally, Nadda said, "Kejriwal government has done scam on the scam in Delhi. Kejriwal, you have hurt Delhi, now you have to leave Delhi, BJP will have to come here. Nadda further said that these are the same people who were going to bring Lokpal Bill, today they are doing scams on scams. The Congress party was known for the commission, but Kejriwal broke its record too.
The BJP has claimed that one lakh party workers had gathered at this rally. The rally is being considered a show of strength of the BJP in the capital. Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta told that 5 booth workers from every booth in Delhi were present on the spot. There are a total of 13,000 booths here. This is the first major program in Delhi that Nadda addressed.
MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) has been occupied by BJP for 3 consecutive times. But this time AAP seems to be giving competition to BJP. Earlier in April, the MCD elections were announced, but it was postponed before the full schedule was released. The reason was that the central government wanted to unite three separate municipal corporations. Earlier Delhi had North MCD, South MCD and East MCD, which have now become one.
Along with this, delimitation to reduce the number of wards was also another reason. According to the officials associated with the Election Commission, a committee formed for the delimitation of municipal wards will complete the work by the end of this month. After this, the Ministry of Home Affairs can issue a notification for the elections.
The BJP had been nominating booth-level party workers for the last two months. Along with this, teams of Panch Parmeshwar were also formed. The team of Panch Parmeshwar includes a booth president, a booth-level officer for election-related work, a woman, young and experienced party worker.
Former North MCD Mayor Jai Prakash said that around 2,000 buses had been arranged to bring people from different areas of the city to the venue. 79,000 newly appointed Panna Pramukhs attended the event. After this rally, the BJP has also planned to launch a door-to-door campaign to propagate the achievements of the Modi government since 2014.
