BJP did not invite the President to the inauguration of the new Parliament building because he is a widow-tribal - Udhayanidhi Stalin

DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin surrounded the Central Government on Wednesday by giving his statement on Sanatan Dharma. He said that President Draupadi Murmu was not invited to the inauguration of the new Parliament building because she is a widow and a tribal. Udhayanidhi Stalin questioned the principles of Sanatan during an event in Madurai and said that he would continue to raise his voice against it.

Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said, "The new Parliament building was inaugurated. BJP called Adhinam from Tamil Nadu for the inauguration, but the President of India was not invited because she is a widow and comes from a tribal community. Is this Sanatan Is it a religion? We will continue to raise our voice against it."

In fact, 21 parliamentarians were invited from Chennai to attend the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building in May this year. Adheenams are non-Brahmin Shaiva monastic monasteries in Tamil Nadu. PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament amid a boycott by the opposition as the opposition was demanding that the new Parliament be inaugurated by the President of India.

DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin in his statement alleged that Sanatan Dharma is against social justice and should be abolished. At the same time, on September 2, Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin compared Sanatan Dharma with Coronavirus, malaria, and dengue and said that such things should not be opposed but should be eliminated. After this statement, he faced protests across the country.

BJP and Hindu organizations strongly criticized Udhayanidhi's statement. BJP has demanded an apology from Udhayanidhi. BJP leaders have blamed the India Alliance for Udhayanidhi's remarks and claimed that such an agenda was discussed during the recent meeting held in Mumbai.
