According to the report of Pakistan's Geo News, the incident took place on Sunday near the Sahara railway station located between Shahzadpur and Nawabshah. Ten coaches of the Rawalpindi-bound Hazara Express derailed, killing at least 30 people and injuring 80.
At the same time, after this train accident, the operation of trains to and from the interior districts of Sindh has been suspended. Simultaneously, the rescue team reached the spot and admitted the injured to the People's Medical Hospital of Nawabshah. Officials say that the reason behind the derailment of the train is yet to be ascertained.
Railway Divisional Superintendent Rahman has confirmed that 10 coaches were derailed in the train accident. He said that more information is being obtained. At the same time, the police said that teams are present on the spot to evacuate the passengers from the affected bogies. According to the local administration, an emergency has been imposed in nearby hospitals after the accident.
