Big infotainment system will be available in 5 door Mahindra Thar Thar, will be more advance than before

Mahindra is about to launch the 5-door Thar soon. Many new features and some cosmetic changes can be seen in the Mahindra Thar 5 door. Talking about the recent updates, according to the spy shot, a large touchscreen infotainment system can be found in the Mahindra Thar 5 door.

Mahindra currently offers a 7-inch touchscreen head unit in the Thar 3-Door. What is visible in these spy pictures looks quite big. The Thar 5-door is expected to get heavily bolstered front seats with a large center armrest. Adjustable headrests can also be found in the second-row seats. The SUV is also likely to be offered with a single-pane sunroof.

The Thar 5-door will be offered with the same engine options as the 3-door version. It generates 130 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque. This includes a 2.2-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre petrol generating 150 bhp and 300-320 Nm torque. Both the engines are likely to be offered with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.

The new 5-door Mahindra Thar is expected to come with a longer wheelbase, as well as more space at the rear than the 3-door. It could possibly get more boot space. Also, the design of its alloy wheels may also be different from the 3-door variant.

The 5-door model of this SUV will be offered only with the hard-top. The 5-door Thar will definitely be positioned above the 3-door Thar in Mahindra's lineup. Talking about the design, it could also get features like a new headliner, a front armrest, a sunglass holder, and even an electric sunroof.
