Big bug in Windows 11, Microsoft said - security update is not getting installed
The company said that this problem "only occurs when the installation media is prepared by including the October 2024 or November 2024 security updates." This means that this bug affects only those machines that install Windows 11 via USB or CD.
Although Microsoft's Windows 11 24H2 update added many useful features, it also introduced many bugs into the world's most popular operating system. Microsoft recently wrote on its Windows 11 24H2 page that users should avoid installing the Windows 11 version with security updates launched between October 8 and November 12. This was because it would cause problems in installing further security updates on the device.

This usually happens with those users who install Windows 11 on their PCs themselves. For such users, Microsoft has devised a workaround: recreate the installation media of Windows 11 using the new December 2024 patch and then do a fresh install of the operating system. The tech firm also said that they have already started working on such a solution but no details were given as to when this solution will be in place.
Apart from this, a number of other bugs and glitches were also found in the Windows 11 24H2 update that came earlier this year, which include audio issues on the Dirac devices, Outlook not launching with older Google Workspace sync, freezing of games, color distortion due to Auto HDR, and popular Ubisoft titles such as Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora not working properly.
