A major blow has been dealt to Team India before the third Test match between England and Rajkot. Shreyas Iyer, the middle-order batsman for the Indian team, might miss the final three-Test series. According to reports, Shreyas Iyer has complained to the team management about groyne and back pain. India and England are level in their five-match test match series at 1-1. The third test will be played in Rajkot from 15th February. In such a situation, BCCI selectors may find it difficult to select the team for the next matches.

A report in the Indian Express said that Shreyas Iyer complained of pain in the groin after playing more than 30 balls. Along with this, he was also facing difficulty in playing forward defence. In such a situation, there is a question mark on Shreyas Iyer playing the remaining Tests of the series. After the second test, the kits of all the players have been sent to Rajkot. Meanwhile, Iyer's kit has been sent to his home in Mumbai.

It is being told that the selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar can announce Team India at any time for the remaining three Tests. If sources are to be believed, Shreyas Iyer will be sent to the National Cricket Academy, Bangalore for examination of his injury. Hopefully, he will be fit by IPL. IPL may start at the end of March.

KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja are already out due to injury. According to Patrika, Shreyas Iyer has complained about back stiffness and groin pain to the team management and medical staff. This is the first time he has faced this kind of problem after surgery. At present, he has been advised to take rest for a few weeks.
