Comedian Raju Srivastava passed away on September 21. On Thursday, hours after his funeral, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan paid tribute to him through his blog. Along with this, Big B also told that he had tried his best to improve Raju's health, but Raju could not be saved even then.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote, 'Another collaborator friend and creative artist left us... suddenly fell ill and passed away prematurely without completing his creativity. His family members had requested to record and send a message to try to improve his health. I did so and Raju opened his eyes once after hearing my voice. But then she stopped.
Praising Raju Srivastava, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, 'Raju will always be remembered for his comic timing and humour. His humour was unique, open, frank and full of jokes. He must be smiling from heaven now and God must have found a reason to laugh too.
Raju Srivastava said goodbye to the world at the age of 58. He suffered a heart attack while exercising on August 10, after which he was admitted to AIIMS Delhi. His condition stabilized during treatment but then worsened. Raju passed away after being on a ventilator for more than 42 days.
Raju wanted to be a hero since childhood. But after coming to Mumbai, he got his first job as an auto driver. At the same time, a ride gave him the first stage performance, for which he got 50 rupees. Then Raju got a chance to work with Anil Kapoor in the film Tezaab. After that, he worked with many celebrities. Raju has acted in a total of 17 films in his career. Along with this, he has also appeared in many comedy shows.
