Big accident again in Uttarakhand: Now six labourers died, many seriously injured
Six brick kiln workers died and several others were injured when a brick kiln wall collapsed in Lahaboli village of Haridwar in Uttarakhand on Tuesday morning.
A tragic accident took place in Haridwar in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. Many labourers working there were buried after a wall collapsed in a brick kiln in Roorkee of Haridwar district. As soon as information about the accident was received, relief and rescue operations were started. Six bodies have been recovered so far. At the same time, many labourers have been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. At present, the work of removing debris is going on with JCB. Police officers including SP Dehat have reached the spot. The deceased have not been identified yet.
Police and administrative officials including Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pramendra Doval reached the spot to monitor the rescue operations. The injured were admitted to the local hospital. SSP Pramendra Doval said that the police received information at around 8.30 am that a wall of a brick kiln had collapsed in Lahaboli village under Mangalore police station. Six people have been confirmed dead in this accident, while many others have been injured. He has been taken to the hospital. At present relief and rescue work is going on.
