Bharti Airtel Q4 results: Net profit up 50% to ₹3,006 crore in Q4FY23, company to pay ₹4 per share dividend

Telecom company Bharti Airtel has announced its Q4FY23 ie fourth quarter (January-March) results. The consolidated net profit of the company increased by 50% to Rs 3,006 crore in the March quarter. The company posted a profit of Rs 2,008 crore in the same quarter last year.
At the same time, the net profit of the company is 89% as compared to the previous quarter (Q3FY23). The company's board has also recommended a final dividend of Rs 4 per share. Airtel's revenue from operations in the March quarter stood at Rs 36,009 crore, up 14% from Rs 31,500 crore in the year-ago quarter. The company's revenue has increased by only 1% as compared to the previous quarter.
The company's consolidated EBITDA for the March quarter stood at Rs 18,807 crore, up 18% YoY and 1% YoY. The company's fourth-quarter EBITDA margin stood at 52.2%, compared to 50.8% in the same quarter last year and 52.0% in the previous quarter.
Gopal Vittal, Managing Director (MD), Bharti Airtel said, “It has been another strong quarter for us, as we strengthen our portfolio at the end of the financial year. Our consolidated revenue grew nearly 1% from the previous quarter, while the EBITDA margin expanded to 52.2%, despite a two-day decrease in the quarter.
Gopal Vittal further added, “Our focus has been to acquire quality customers. 74 lakh new 4G customers are associated with the company. The company's ARPU has increased to Rs 193." He also said that the company is rapidly rolling out 5G and is expected to connect all major cities and major villages by the end of this year. Shares of Airtel on Tuesday closed at Rs 785.60, down 1.44%.
