Bengaluru: A 20-year-old MBBS student of a private medical college in Mangaluru committed suicide on Monday. During the investigation, the police recovered a suicide note from the student's room in which it was written that she was upset with her life and hence she was taking such a step. At present, the police have registered the case and started a thorough investigation.

There was mourning in a family on the second day of Diwali. Actually, a 20-year-old MBBS student of a private medical college in Mangaluru committed suicide on Monday.

City Police Commissioner Anupam Aggarwal told the media that the deceased has been identified as Prakriti Shetty (20). He told that the student committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of the hostel building at around 3 in the morning.

According to the information received, as soon as the student jumped, all the students woke up to the screams and noise started everywhere in the hostel. Meanwhile, the management informed the police about the incident without any delay and informed the student's family about the incident.

At present, the police have found a note in her hostel room, which reads, "She was disappointed with her life." The commissioner said a case of unnatural death has been registered and an investigation is underway. The body of the student has been sent for post-mortem, after which the body will be handed over to the family.
