Bengaluru: 4 people kidnapped a person on suspicion, now police caught all four

Four residents of Bengaluru have been arrested by the police. Let us tell you that they had allegedly entered a salon in Goa and kidnapped an employee. He suspected the employee that one of his relatives had eloped with him.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivaba Dalvi said that the accused persons did not take any help from Karnataka or Goa police to trace the person with whom their relative had allegedly eloped.

According to the police, Zakir Sabir Ahmed, owner of a hair-cutting salon in Moira, Bardez-Goa, had lodged a complaint that four male persons had entered his salon and abducted his staff Junaid Zafeer, (25, native of Uttar Pradesh).

Police said the accused persons have been identified as Yasin Ali Baig, 21, Ahmed Sharif, 30, Nawaz MD, 36, and Navshad Ahmed, 45, all residents of Bengaluru-Karnataka.

Police said that various teams were formed to collect intelligence regarding the accused involved and information regarding the vehicle.

Police said that acting on the input provided by Mapusa police station staff, Old Goa police station staff stopped a car in Old Goa and rescued the victim Junaid and four people along with the car were detained.

Dalvi said that a relative of the accused persons had fled from Karnataka and the accused persons had reached Goa without the help of the local police or Karnataka Police suspecting that the employees of the hair-cutting salon had eloped with their relative, and kidnapped him.

Sources said the accused persons might have obtained the information by tracking the location of the girl who had eloped and later came to Goa.

Sources said it is not yet clear whether the victim is involved in the abduction of the girl, who is missing from Bengaluru, and it is not even clear whether the girl is in Goa or not.

A case has been registered in the matter under various sections of the IPC.
