Be it Haldighati or Galvan Valley, India will neither bow down nor bow down: Rajnath said in Maharashtra - If someone provokes us, we will not spare him
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in Maharashtra on Sunday that whether it is Haldi Valley or Galvan Valley, India has never bowed down and will never bow down. Then Maharana Pratap was in Haldi Valley and now the Indian Army is in Galvan Valley. Our forces have always protected honor. Rajnath said this at the Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Mahasammelan in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
He said that this public that has come to hear me is not a crowd, it is an ocean. We should turn the pages of the life of Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. We will get to learn from him that there is nothing greater than self-respect in our life.
He said that India never provokes anyone, but if someone provokes it, the country will not spare it. Our prime minister has a 56-inch chest and he will never let you down. Whether it is the incident of Uri or Pulwama, the forces of our country have taken effective action against terrorism. Today the forces of our country can kill on this side as well and can kill on the other side as well.
Congratulating the people for renaming Sambhajinagar, Rajnath Singh said that Chhatrapati Sambhaji was such a great personality, who set an example by his conduct, which would be repeated for centuries. Don't know how many tortures Aurangzeb gave him, he didn't know how much suffering he suffered. But this suffering could not even stop Sambhaji's love for religion.
He said that Maharana Pratap was offered various kinds of inducements by Akbar, but the Maharana chose a struggle-filled and independent life instead of a luxurious but servile life. If you properly understand the dedication of Maharana Pratap in that period, then you will call that period as 'Maharana period' and not 'Mughal period'.
Emphasizing self-reliant India, Rajnath Singh said, we have decided to move ahead with self-reliant India. Before 2014, we used to export arms worth Rs 900 crore and now we are exporting arms worth more than Rs 16,000 crore.
He said, earlier when India used to speak, the world used to ignore it because it considered us weak. But today when India speaks, the whole world listens to it carefully.
