Unified Payment Interface i.e. UPI payment is used by every other person in today's time. With this everyone pays for online shopping even at the grocery store. Just as it gives us convenience, it also gives rise to fraud. People can now easily cheat you through this. Because of this, cases of online fraud are increasing in today's time. You should never give your UPI PIN or ID to anyone. Even if you get a call or a message from customer care, you should not give any information to them. You should pay a lot of attention every time you make a payment. First, you know all the information only then make the payment.
Many times the customer care operators ask us for our ID details and access. We should never give them access. Customer care people tell you that they are asking for this information to update KYC. Let us tell you that no such call comes from the company. These calls are made through fraudsters. If you give them access then money can disappear from your account.
You should change your UPI PIN from time to time. If you cannot change the PIN every month, then you must change the PIN after every three months.
You should never do too many transactions. Every time you do a transaction, your UPI ID information is passed on to others. In this case, you should set a limit for the transaction. Apart from this, you should make UPI payments from only one account and keep less money in that account. If ever you are cheated in the future, you will not have to face much financial loss.
