BCCI unhappy over hanging Rishabh's jersey on the dugout: Said - It is not right to hang the jersey only when the player is injured, do not do so from now on
Delhi Capitals didn't like the tribute paid to Rishabh Pant in the first match against Lucknow Super Giants in IPL. In fact, in the first match, in honour of Pant, his jersey was hung above the pavilion.
According to the source of the news agency PTI, BCCI did not like this way of honouring Delhi Capitals. A BCCI official said that such an honour is given after a major event or retirement. In Pant's case, neither has happened. In such a situation, Delhi Capitals should not do this from now on.
Rishabh Pant can come to watch the match against Gujarat Titans in Delhi on Tuesday. For this, the franchise will have to take permission from the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit of BCCI. If allowed, Rishabh can also sit in the dugout.
An IPL source told PTI that Rishabh has always been an integral part of the team for Delhi Capitals. It is expected that he will be available in the team against Gujarat. He will be in the VIP box with the team owner, but there is a possibility that he may also come to the dugout for a while.
Delhi Capitals plays with a different jersey in every season of IPL. This season the team will play with Pant's number on every jersey during a match in IPL. Along with this, the colour of the jersey of the team will also be different. However, the number will be in small letters in one corner of the jersey, this will not violate the number rule of the players.
Pant has played 98 matches for Delhi Capitals so far, scoring 2,838 runs at an average of 34.61. He has scored one century and 15 half-centuries.
In fact, this time Rishabh Pant will not be seen playing in the Indian Premier League starting from March 31. Pant's car met with an accident on December 31 last year while going from Delhi to his home in Roorkee. After which he had serious injuries. He has had a knee operation. It will take time for him to get fit. He is currently undergoing rehab.
