An official of the Indian Cricket Board gave this information on Friday. Chopra gifted his spear to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence after returning from the Tokyo Olympics. Many things including this spear were e-auctioned, the money from which went to the 'Namami Gange program. This auction is in September and. took place in October 2021.

A BCCI official said, "The BCCI had bid on Neeraj's spear. Apart from this also bid on some other items. Namami Gange is a noble cause and the office bearers of the board felt that being one of the premier sports organizations in the country, it is our duty toward the nation.

The BCCI had given 51 crore rupees to the 'PM Cares Fund' even during the Corona epidemic. Apart from Chopra's spear, the board also bought an angavastra signed by the Indian Paralympic contingent for Rs 1 crore.

Chopra's spear sold the most expensive in the e-auction, while Bhavani Devi's sword was sold for Rs.1.25 crore, and Paralympic champion Sumit Antil's spear was sold for Rs.1 crore 20 thousand. Lovlina Borgohain's boxing gloves sold for Rs 91 lakh.

In the e-auction, 1348 souvenirs were sold, including sports items. For these 8600 bids were made. Chopra recently presented the javelin that won her a gold medal in Tokyo at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
