Bangladesh Protest: The situation in many cities of Bangladesh is still abnormal. Hindus are being targeted. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Army and the administrative officials there are helping Indians to return to their country. The Indian High Commission is in touch with the Bangladesh Army. Due to this, Bangladeshi officials have assured all possible help.
The situation in Dhaka and many other cities of Bangladesh is still far from being normal. The good thing is that the Bangladesh Army and the administrative officials there are helping Indians to return to their country despite a very tense situation. The Bangladeshi officials have very good contact with the officials of the Indian High Commission and four Deputy High Commissions in Dhaka and they are being helped in every possible way.
With their help, Indian citizens from many parts of the country are being safely transported to the Indian border by vehicles. Also, those who have tickets to travel by plane are also being taken to the airport. This information has been given by sources in the Ministry of External Affairs. Sources have said that some Indian citizens have been rescued in a very dangerous situation.
The situation of Indian workers working on remote projects was especially worrying. Indians working on projects, L&T, Tata Projects, Afcons, and Transrail located at Khulna have been brought to the border. This has been possible with the cooperation of the High Commission and Bangladesh military forces.
Apart from this, the local administration has also helped in bringing employees of Ashok Build Company, RITES, ITD Cementation, Sirajganj, KEC, and Indian professionals working privately in Dhaka to the airport. Many employees of Indian companies like Sun Pharma, IOCL, and NPTC are working there.
Most of them have returned. The Indian High Commission in Dhaka is readily available to provide all sorts of consular services to Indian citizens; if anybody's documents are required to be attested in advance in some emergency condition, that too is being provided by the Indian High Commission, which ensures smooth flights from Dhaka to India.
