Bangladesh has created history by defeating the West Indies at their home after 15 consecutive years. Bangladesh has not only won its first Test match against the Windies on its home after 2009 but has also succeeded in leveling the series 1-1 after trailing 0-1. Along with this, its statistics have also improved. It has won three out of the last 6 Tests. Before this series, Bangladesh had defeated Pakistan in two Tests on its home. However, after that, fit lost two matches to India, but now West Indies has again made a comeback with a win. In this test played in Jamaica, Bangladesh restricted West Indies to under 200 runs in both innings and registered a spectacular victory by 101 runs.

So far, 11 test series have been played between Bangladesh and West Indies, out of which Bangladesh has won two series, and West Indies has won 8 series.
