Heavy rains in Bengaluru for about 10 days followed by flood-like situations have wreaked havoc. Several areas of Bengaluru have been submerged in water for the past several days. The situation is dire for the poor and middle class, but even the rich are not spared from it.
The founders and CEOs of many big companies live in the Epsilon area of Bangalore. This area is also completely submerged in water. The community is home to 150 selected people, including Wipro Chairman Rishad Premji, Britannia CEO Varun Berry, Big Basket co-founder Abhinay Choudhary and Byju's co-founder Byju Ravichandran.
The price of a normal villa in Epsilon is Rs 10 Crore. Here the prices increase according to the size of the plot. The cost of a one-acre plot is around Rs 80 crore.
Even after being such an expensive society, it has not survived the rain. Here, luxury cars worth crores parked outside the luxurious villa are seen submerged in water to the top. The rich living here is also being rescued through boats.
JCB's help was taken to cross a bridge over the canal at Bagalkot in Bengaluru on Wednesday. On its arm were school children, who were made to cross the path. On the other hand, e-commerce companies like Amazon, and Swiggy have also suspended their service for some time due to rain and floods.
