Actually, for the first time, American F-35 fighters came to India. Experts believe that this was a small effort by America to woo India.
According to a Reuters report, the US sent its largest number of delegates to India's Aero India show in its 27-year history. Which shows how important India is becoming to America.
While very few delegates from Russia came to India during this period. Where previously this was not the case, the Russian exporter took center stage at the Rosoborona Export Aero Show. According to the report, America wants to eliminate India's dependence on Russia in the matter of arms procurement. Because of this, he is trying to woo India with the F-35 fighter jet.
According to Air Force sources, India is not considering buying the F-35 for the time being. On the other hand, defence analyst Angad Singh told that America has brought them to Aero India not to sell F-35 jets but to show its importance to India through it.
The US does not easily give F-35 jets to any country. At the same time, when Rear Admiral Michael L. Baker was asked in the US Embassy whether he would offer this fighter jet to India? So on this, he said that India is at the initial stage of the idea of buying them.
In the last 6 years, a deal worth 49 thousand crore rupees has been made between India and America regarding arms. Under India includes Apache helicopters, Chinook, MH-60 helicopters, missiles, air defence systems, naval guns and P-81 Poseidon surveillance aircraft.
On one hand, there was a defence deal worth 49 thousand crores between America and India in 6 years. While India has bought weapons worth Rs 1 lakh crore from Russia in the last five years. India is number one in the whole world in terms of buying arms from Russia. Russia's official news agency made this claim on Sunday.
The agency had also told that India alone is buying 20 percent of Russia's weapons. The sanctions imposed on Russia due to the Ukraine war also did not affect the purchase of weapons in both countries.
