Bail to suspended MLA T Raja from BJP

In the case of making controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad, the court has given bail to MLA T Raja Singh, giving a warning. The court had earlier ordered to send the BJP leader to judicial custody for 14 days, but later, the court, withdrawing the remand order, granted him bail. Police produced T Raja Singh in Nampally Court in Hyderabad.
Here, people have started protesting at dozens of police stations in protest against Raja's bail. A crowd of protesters gathered outside the jail as well.
T Raja released a video on Tuesday using derogatory words for Prophet Mohammad. However, he later called it a joke. After the statement, a large number of people took to the streets in protest against him. Thereafter he was arrested. The BJP also suspended MLA T Raja from the party.
Protests have been going on in Hyderabad since Monday night against T Raja's statement. The angry mob had demanded the arrest of MLA T Raja from Goshamahal, raising slogans of 'one punishment of the insolent prophet, head tan se juda'. The protesters compared T Raja's statement with that of former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
After this, a case was registered against him at Dabirpura police station under several sections including 295(a), and 153(a) of IPC. The police have also detained many of the protesters. A large number of police forces have been deployed outside Hyderabad's Police Commissioner's Office, Director General of Police's office and the old Police Commissioner's office.
On the alleged statement of Raja Singh, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said- 'I condemn the statement of BJP MLA. BJP wants to spoil the peace in Telangana, BJP wants to spoil the peace in Hyderabad and communal riots here.
BJP MLA had released a video against comedian Munawwar Farooqui. Munavvar performed at a comedy show in Hyderabad only last week. Earlier, Raja Singh threatened to stop Farooqui's show and set the set on fire. Raja Singh said that Munawwar Farooqui has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. After this threat, he was placed on house arrest.
BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma made a controversial statement on Prophet Mohammad Sahab during a TV debate on 27 May. Due to the statement, the BJP suspended him from the party for 6 years. Violent demonstrations took place in many places in the country against Nupur's statement.
The Supreme Court also reprimanded Nupur Sharma in this case. The court had said that Nupur made provocative remarks against a particular religion on television. They have provoked the sentiments of the people and Nupur is responsible for whatever is happening across the country. He has posed a threat to the security of the country.
