Ayodhya Airport named after Maharishi Valmiki, PM Modi will inaugurate
Ayodhya International Airport: Ayodhya Airport has been renamed as Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham. However, official notification has not been issued yet.
The grand Ram temple being built in Ayodhya is going to be inaugurated on 22 January. Before this, the central and state governments are working together to decorate the city. In this sequence, PM Modi is reaching Ayodhya on Saturday 30th December. Here he will also inaugurate Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram Ayodhya Airport and Ayodhya Railway Station. But now news is coming that the name of the airport built in Ayodhya has been changed after Maharishi Valmiki.
Ayodhya Airport will be renamed as Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham. It is noteworthy that a day before, the name of Ayodhya railway station was changed to Ayodhya Dham. It is said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had expressed his desire to name the station Ayodhya Dham. Only after this, the Railway Ministry changed the name of Ayodhya Junction to Ayodhya Dham Junction. Its order was issued on Wednesday.
A new airport, newly redeveloped railway station, newly redeveloped, wide and aesthetic roads and other civic infrastructure are being inaugurated in Ayodhya. The first phase of the state-of-the-art airport has been developed at a cost of more than Rs 1450 crore. The airport terminal building will have an area of 6500 square metres, equipped to serve approximately 10 lakh passengers annually. The façade of the terminal building reflects the architecture of the adjacent Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The interiors of the terminal building are decorated with local art, paintings and frescoes depicting the life of Lord Shri Ram. The terminal building of Ayodhya Airport is equipped with various facilities like an insulated roofing system, LED lighting, rainwater harvesting, landscaping with fountains, a water treatment plant, a sewage treatment plant, a solar power plant and many more. All these facilities will be by the Grah-5 star rating.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ayodhya on 30 December. This visit before the consecration of Shri Ramlala is going to be historic. During this visit, the PM will inaugurate the redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station and flag off the new Amrit Bharat trains and Vande Bharat trains.
Apart from this, PM will also inaugurate the newly constructed Ayodhya Airport. At around 1 pm the Prime Minister will participate in a public event, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth over Rs 15,700 crore in the state. These include projects worth about Rs 11,100 crore for the development of Ayodhya and its surrounding areas and projects worth about Rs 4600 crore related to other projects across Uttar Pradesh.
