Australia's 29-year-old Josh Brown was the hero of Brisbane Heat's victory in the Big Bash T20 League. He scored an inning of 62 runs off 23 balls at a strike rate of 269.56, hitting 4 fours and 6 sixes. Josh shared a 73-run partnership with Nathan McSwany (84) for the second wicket. Brown was also elected player of the match. It would be surprising to know that Josh started the game not with cricket but with football, but at the age of 13, he started playing cricket. In 2019, Josh got a chance to play in Britain. He scored 290 runs in an innings. Scored 1000+ runs and took 43 wickets in the entire season.
Josh started playing grade cricket at the age of 22 in Brisbane. He made his debut for Northern Suburbs Club. The 2020-21 season has been excellent for Josh. He played 53 matches, scoring 1643 runs at an average of 34.23. This includes 3 centuries and 10 half-centuries. Also took 21 wickets. Apart from playing cricket, he also has the skill of making bats. He has done a course on this.
They make their own bats. Also, make and repair bats for other players. Josh says, 'I love making cricket bats. I make around 100 bats every year and repair over 1000 bats. I have seen almost every break possible in cricket. Josh enjoys fishing and golf.
