Assam Police arrested two drug smugglers from Guwahati, seized 101 grams of brown sugar along with mobile-car
The Assam Police on Monday nabbed two drug peddlers and seized 101 grams of brown sugar from the capital Guwahati. Police Commissioner Diganta Bora said that the search operation was carried out on the basis of secret information. The police team seized nine packets of suspected brown sugar weighing 101 grams. He said that four mobile phones and a car have also been seized.
Assam Police on Monday nabbed two drug peddlers in Guwahati and seized 101 grams of brown sugar. The accused have been identified as Sharungbeg Prem Kumar Singh, 35, and Faridul Hasan, 22.
Guwahati Police Commissioner Diganta Bora said that the search operation was carried out on the basis of secret information. The police team recovered nine packets of suspected brown sugar weighing 101 grams and seized them as per the procedure.
The police commissioner said that four mobile phones and a car have also been seized. He said that the investigation of the matter is going on.
According to officials, based on a tip-off, a team of Central Police District led by ADCP Central conducted a search operation in the Rupnagar area under Paltan Bazar Police Station, Guwahati, and nabbed two drug peddlers.
