After the Indian badminton men's doubles pair Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty were out of the Paris Olympics 2024, their coach Mathias Boe announced his retirement from coaching. He gave this information on social media. London Olympics 2012 silver medalist 44-year-old Boe of Denmark wrote, For me, coaching days end here, I am not going to India or anywhere else at least for now. I have spent too much time in the badminton hall and being a coach is also quite stressful, I am a tired old man. Boe was associated with Satwik-Chirag before the Tokyo Olympics.

Consoling Satwik and Chirag, Boe wrote, I know you guys are disappointed, I know you wanted to bring medals for India but this time it could not happen. However, Boe said that even though his disciples did not return with medals from Paris, he is leaving the post as a satisfied person. He said you have everything to be proud of. How hard you have worked in this Olympic camp, battling injuries, taking injections to reduce pain, this is dedication, this is passion.
