Apple's New 24-Inch iMac Release Imminent, iPads and MacBook Pros Expected in 2023
Regarding the release date of the 24-inch Apple iMac in 2023, Gurman's sources suggest that a Mac-related event may occur toward the end of October, perhaps on October 30 or 31.
Apple is poised to potentially unveil its much-anticipated 24-inch iMac desktop later this month, alongside expectations for the release of iPads and MacBook Pros in 2023. Rumors have been swirling about new iPads, and to add to the excitement, Apple recently introduced the Apple Pencil. Notably, tech aficionados are eagerly awaiting the new tablets. However, according to the well-regarded Apple leaks source, Mark Gurman, Apple may have an additional surprise up its sleeve - the introduction of a new 24-inch iMac.
For context, Apple's M1-powered iMac has been awaiting an update since April 2021, which means it's been over 900 days in the making. This delay was not part of Apple's original plan, according to Gurman. Initially, there were intentions to release a new 24-inch iMac Pro model featuring a larger screen and an M2 processor, possibly named the "iMac Pro." The launch of this product was postponed due to high production costs, with Apple promoting the Studio Display and Mac Studio as high-end alternatives in the meantime. Returning to the topic of the iMac, Gurman predicts that a new model will see the light of day in March of this year.
Regarding the release date of the 24-inch Apple iMac in 2023, Gurman's sources suggest that a Mac-related event may occur toward the end of October, perhaps on October 30 or 31. Notably, Gurman observes that retail stores are facing shortages of both the 24-inch iMac and MacBook Pro, with estimated arrival times extending beyond mid-November. These developments indicate that "something is about to happen," according to Gurman's assessment.
But what about the anticipated 2023 iPads? Gurman highlights that the quarterly results call is scheduled for November 2, a departure from the usual October timing. However, it's important to note that this pattern was broken in 2018 when iPads and Mac devices were unveiled on October 30. Therefore, it would not be entirely surprising if an iPad debut occurs this month.
Last but not least, Gurman suggests that a MacBook Pro upgrade is not out of the realm of possibility. Furthermore, there are murmurs of a 32-inch iMac Pro slated for release in 2024 or 2025, making it Apple's most substantial product to date in terms of size.
