Apple's manufacturing partner Foxconn has started production of Apple's upcoming iPhone series iPhone 15 in India.

Apple's manufacturing partner Foxconn has started its work at the Sriperumbudur plant in India's southern state of Tamil Nadu. Apart from Foxconn, Pegatron, and Tata Group can also assemble the iPhone 15.

Talking about the iPhone 14 series, this series of iPhones started manufacturing in India just three months after its launch. This time also the company wants to work fast for the iPhone 15. It is believed that Apple is going to launch the iPhone 15 series for its customers on 12 September.

In such a situation, Foxconn can introduce the new iPhone series shortly after launching in the Indian markets. Till last year, iPhone assembly was limited in India. Its output was delayed by six to nine months. Since the iPhone 14, this difference has narrowed somewhat. Till last March, 7 percent of iPhone production was being done from outside the country.

The iPhone manufacturing company is trying to reduce this difference in output. The company is shifting its production out of China. According to media reports, the production of the iPhone 15 in India depends on imported components and the smooth operation of the Foxconn Chennai factory to achieve the target.
