Bhakta claims that Apple forces employees to give up their privacy rights. The lawsuit alleges that Apple asks employees to consent to a policy under which the company can conduct physical, video, and electronic surveillance even at their homes.

"For Apple employees, the Apple ecosystem is not a garden, it's a prison, where they are monitored at all times." Use of personal devices and scrutiny of data Apple reportedly advises employees to use only products manufactured by Apple, but most employees are forced to use their personal devices due to the restrictions imposed on the company's work devices.

According to an Apple policy, if employees are using their personal devices, information associated with their personal accounts, such as emails, videos, photos, notes, etc., may be available to Apple for scrutiny. The lawsuit says Apple also bans employees from discussing their working conditions, salaries, and political activities among themselves.

Bhakta says Apple also barred him from speaking on a podcast about his experiences in digital advertising. The company also ordered him to remove some information related to the work he had done at Apple from his LinkedIn profile.
