Anurag Thakur said – American newspaper giving fake news

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on Friday accused foreign media, including the American newspaper New York Times (NYT), of spreading lies against him. He said that India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are being maligned.
In a tweet, the minister termed an opinion piece published in NYT on freedom of the press in Kashmir as mischievous and imaginary. Alleged that neutrality was not taken care of before printing anything about India. It has been printed with a specific agenda against India and its democratic institutions. Such a lie will not last long.
NYT wrote the opinion that if Modi succeeds in implementing the Kashmir model of controlling information in the rest of the country, it will not only endanger the freedom of the press, but also the Indian democracy itself.
Anurag Thakur said that democracy in India and we the people are very mature. We do not need to learn the grammar of democracy from such agenda-driven media. The lies spread by the New York Times about the freedom of the press in Kashmir are condemnable. Indians will not allow their agenda to be run on the soil of India.
