Anubhav said- Ra.One was a film ahead of its time: Said- After 12 years the film is being praised

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Ra.One was released in 2011. The film was not particularly liked by the audience. The film somehow recovered its cost. Director Anubhav Sinha says that his film was ahead of its time.
Anubhav says that Ra.One had to face a lot of criticism after its release. According to Anubhav, if the film is being appreciated today after 12 years of its release, then it is a matter of happiness for him. If a film is talked about for many years, it means that there must have been some talk in that film.
Talking to DNA, Anubhav Sinha said – The thing to think about is that the film which was criticized so much 12 years back. Today people are liking the same film online. Today people say that the film was released at the wrong time. Hearing this from people is like a success for me and it makes me very happy.
Anubhav Sinha had said in an old interview to Connect FM that Ra.One had earned 130 crores only in India. Then how did this film flop? According to Anubhav, when Ra.One released, the industry was not ready to accept a film with such VFX and technology. He didn't want to face such a big-budget film.
Anubhav Sinha had said in an old interview that he had no problem with people criticizing his film. But the film's hero Shah Rukh Khan himself sitting on national television told the film to be a flop, this thing was very puzzling to him.
Anubhav said, 'One day I heard Shahrukh himself that he was telling it a flop sitting on TV. My heart was broken. I thought to myself, 'How can Shahrukh say that?'
Ra.One may have flopped at the box office. But its VFX is still discussed today. After watching Adipurush and Brahmastra, there was a debate on social media that the VFX of Ra.One released a decade ago was much better than these.
The film was produced by Shah Rukh Khan's production company Red Chillies. The total budget of the film was around 150 crores. Although the worldwide collection of the film could only reach 200 crores.
