The Indian team is performing amazingly in the T20 World Cup 2024. Team India has entered the Super-8 while remaining undefeated. Where its first match will be against Afghanistan. After this T20 World Cup, the Indian team will go on a tour of Zimbabwe. Where it will play a series of 5 T20 matches. The most special thing about this series will be that Rahul Dravid will not be the coach of the Indian team on this tour, but the team will go with a new head coach. BCCI is going to officially announce the new head coach of Team India soon, but before that, the Zimbabwe team has got a new head coach.

Before the T20 series against India, the Zimbabwe Cricket Board chose Justin Sammons as the team's new head coach. The Zimbabwe Cricket Board made this decision following a meeting on June 19. Justin Sammons will now serve as Zimbabwe's T20 series head coach. Following the meeting, the Zimbabwe Cricket Board officially proclaimed his name.

Previously, former Zimbabwe team head coach Dave Houghton was in charge of the team till the T20 World Cup 2024. However, due to poor performance, the Zimbabwe squad was unable to advance to the Super-8 of the T20 World Cup. As a result, Dave Houghton was forced to step down as head coach. Justin Sammons has replaced Dave Houghton. Former Zimbabwe cricketer Dion Ibrahim has been made the assistant coach along with Sammons.

Giving this information, Zimbabwe Cricket Board Chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani said that it is a great pleasure to appoint Justin Sammons as the new head coach of the Zimbabwe team. He has good coaching experience. This will greatly benefit the Zimbabwe team. Sammons will work hard with the players and take the team forward.
