Animal Husbandry Minister said - Do not drink the milk of Lumpy infected animal

Union Animal Husbandry Minister Purushotam Rupala has said that drinking the milk of milch animals infected with lumpy disease should be avoided. Those who are affected animals should be kept separate and their milk should be avoided. Rupala has advised applying the goat pox vaccine to goats to protect healthy animals. The Union Animal Husbandry Minister was interacting with the media at the Jaipur Secretariat after a meeting with ministers and state officials on the lumpy virus.
Rupala said – There is an influence in 16 districts of Rajasthan, and the strain has weakened in 12 districts. Rajasthan is number one in terms of this disease. Because here the livestock is at number two in the whole country. There is no need to be confused about the vaccine. Goat pox is for goats, but the style of the virus strain is very similar to theirs. Our scientists have experimented and made it clear that it is effective in the virus that is present. There is no need to worry about the side effects of the Got Pox Vaccine in the current situation when administered to a healthy animal. Pashupalak along with State Government Veterinary Doctors who are healthy animals. Vaccinate them. That will help in protecting them.
Rupala said that there is no goat pox for the sick animal, the animal which has become ill, it should not be applied. Only healthy animals have to be planted. In the 11 districts of Rajasthan where the disease has spread more. There, a healthy animal should be given a dose of 3 ml got the pox. where there is less spread. There should be a dosage of 1 ml.
On the question of providing the vaccine free of cost, Rupala said that it is not a matter of free of cost. The Indian government is not buying the vaccine, it is being bought by the state government. Only the purchase of the state government can be set off by the Government of India under any scheme. Will consider this further. The Center has already deposited Rs 8 crore with the state government. There is no problem with the fund.
On the question of the failure of the warning system for such a serious disease, Rupala said that the central government had issued an advisory regarding this. Animal husbandry is a subject of the state, we had informed the state government by issuing an advisory. Now it is the work of the state governments to take this advisory to the livestock owners.
