ANCAP safety rating of Mahindra Scorpio N revealed, know how many stars this popular SUV could score

The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) recently tested the Mahindra Scorpio N. The testing report states that the passenger compartment remained stable in the frontal offset (MPDP) test. The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) recently tested the Mahindra Scorpio N. There is bad news for the lovers of this SUV, as it has scored 0 stars in the crash test. The testing report states that the passenger compartment remained stable in the frontal offset (MPDP) test. Safety for the driver's chest and lower legs was also adequate. Protection was good for all other vital areas of the body for both the driver and front passenger.

In the full-width frontal test, the protection of the driver dummy was weak for the chest and good for all other critical areas of the body. Rear passenger head, neck and chest protection was poor based on dummy readings and high seatbelt load.

The protection provided to all critical areas of the driver's body in the side impact test was good, although the driver's seat belt was observed to open during impact, increasing the risk of potential injury.

In the child occupant protection test, the Scorpio N got a score of 14.27 out of 16 in the dynamic test, with a rating of 8 out of 8 in the side dynamic test. Restraint installation scored 10 out of 12 and on-board safety features scored 7 out of 13.
