Allegations of discrimination on Infosys

Infosys was accused of doing gender-biased recruitment in the US. The former senior recruiter of the company alleged that after exposing the matter of discrimination in the company, she started being discriminated against.
Jill Prejean, former vice president of talent acquisition at the company, filed the case against former Infosys senior vice president and consulting head Mark Livingston, along with former partners Dan Albright and Jerry Kurtz.
In 2018 at the age of 59, Prezon joined Infosys as VP of Talent Acquisition. He was hired to find a hard-to-find executive. He held several meetings with Infosys partners to understand the hiring need.
In the meeting, he came to know that Indian workers, women with children and applicants above 50 years of age are not given priority in hiring.
Prezon said that after joining, there was illegal discrimination on the basis of age and gender in the company. Albright and Kurtz were more discriminated against in hiring than the rest of the company's employees.
In December 2018, Livingston joined the company as VP. Livingston also pressured her not to hire women with children and workers over the age of 50.
When Prezon told him that such hiring was illegal, Livingston threatened to fire him from the company. He accused the other two recruiters, including Livingston, of harassing and pressuring them for discriminatory hiring.
Prazon told that even after qualifying, he was fired from the job by the company without giving any reason. Infosys rubbished all these allegations. However, on September 30, a New York court dismissed the company's petition and directed it to respond in 21 days.
Infosys has not said anything officially yet. In 2021, four women workers accused the company of giving priority to male employees.
