Akshay Kumar-Virender Sehwag invest in TBOF: This start-up sells organic food products, the company also helps farmers
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and former cricketer Virender Sehwag have invested in the organic farming start-up 'Two Brothers Organic Farms' (TBOF). TBOF said that they have raised Rs 14.5 crore through investors including Akshay Kumar and Virender Sehwag. Other investors in Two Brothers Organic Farms include Tejesh Chitlangi, Durga Devi Wagh, Crest Ventures, Javed Tapia and Raju Chekuri.
However, it has not been disclosed how much money Akshay Kumar and Virender Sehwag have invested in the company.
On investing in the start-up, actor Akshay Kumar said, 'I am happy to be a part of TBOF's journey towards a better and healthier future for all. I believe in TBOF's commitment to empowering rural communities through organic farming."
And cricketer Virender Sehwag said, 'I am excited to support TBOF's sustainable agriculture mission and rural development. It is heartening to see the positive impact brought about by TBOF on the lives of farmers and the health of people at home and abroad.
TBOF said that the funds received from the investors will be used to increase the manufacturing capacity, set up former training centers, and increase domestic and international business. Also, this fund will be used to help farmers and create more employment opportunities for women.
On receiving the funding, TBOF Co-Founder Satyajit Hange said, “The success of this funding round is a testimony to the hard work and dedication of our team at Two Brothers Organic Farms. With the support of investors, we will continue to bring revolutionary changes in the organic farming industry in India.
As per the report, the company sells its products in more than 53 countries. At the same time, TBOF sells products through its official e-commerce website, mobile app and food superstores in more than 1000 cities in India.
According to the company's website, TBOF manufactures natural and organic farming products. It is founded by two brothers Satyajit Hange and Ajinkya Hange in Bhodani, Pune.
